Van der Valk: Then and Now

When travelling through Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain or in the Caribbean, our distinctive colourful toucan, is not to be missed. Our history in Germany began in 1986, when the first Van der Valk Hotel was opened in Moers. It was a bold step that laid the foundation for an unprecedented success story. Today, the Van der Valk group has eight German Hotel Moers, Hotels Gladbeck, Hotel Melle-Osnabrück,  Hotel Hildesheim, Spornitz Country Hotel, Golfhotel Serrahn, Hotel Berlin-Brandenburg, Hotel Hamburg-Wittenburg) two holiday resorts (Linstow Resort & Nature Resort Drewitz) a golf hotel, two indoor ski slopes (alpincenter Bottrop and alpincenter Hamburg-Wittenburg), and a Waterski facility (Zachun). It is now impossible to imagine the German tourism market without our brand.

Hotel Gladbeck

Van der Valk Hotel Gladbeck is located in the middle of beautiful green surroundings on the A2 motorway between Oberhausen and Hanover. Right next to the hotel, 350 free parking spaces are available for our guests.

The 181 spacious rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, seating area, desk, telephone and a safe. The bathrooms have a hairdryer, bath and shower, these will make your stay pleasant. Most of the rooms here also have a balcony or terrace.

The restaurant

In our Restaurant, guests can enjoy delicious international specialities. In addition, our cosy hotel bar invites you to end the day relaxing with a good glass of wine or freshly tapped beer.

Cosy parties - Succesful meetings

There are 13 authentic meeting rooms in the conference centre. All of them are equipped with daylight, Wi-Fi and state-of-the-art technology. In all rooms, you can use our W-LAN network free of charge. This makes our stylish rooms the ideal location for your seminars, meetings, workshops, parties, fairs and family celebrations for up to 2,500 people.
